My silly boys

A few days ago we took Timothy to his well child check up. Sam has still been a little sickly so I asked the doctor if she would check him as well. After she looked at Timothy she told Sam it was his turn. He laid down and let her examine him. I said "it is a good thing she is looking at him too or he may have been upset." Good thing she did because he is still sick! Hopefully he gets better this time. Later that day we watched one of our friends daughters for them for an hour or so. When they came back for her we visited with them for a little bit. After they left we had prayer. I said we were thankful we could visit with the Gubler's. Timothy often repeats some things I say in his prayer. This night he said "thankful we could visit with the Goobers." I am sure he thinks he said Gubler's, but this was to cute to not write about! I love some of the words that come out of his mouth!

Father's Day 2011

There have been many Father like men in my life. Today I would like to talk about the four most important ones. Number One: The man that helped give me life. I can honestly say I have the best Dad ever. He has been there my whole life. He has a very large heart! I know he isn't perfect, but the good out weighs the not so good. He knows how to fix lots of things around the house. He still takes care of me even though I haven't lived under his roof in nearly ten years. When my sisters and I started moving away he started cooking dinners. (he is a good cook as well) He is a hard worker and I know he loves me not only through his words, but also his actions. I love you Dad and I hope to have you around for a long time. Number Two: The man that helped give life to my Husband. My father in law has saved us money on car repairs. He helps my hubby change the oil in our cars. He takes care of us even though we aren't under his roof. He has a big heart! He helps move furniture (or move out of homes for that matter). He can make my boys laugh (when they want to). He is also a very hard worker. I don't think he knows this, but I do love him! Number Three: That would be my boys' daddy. My husband, Jared is one of a kind. He is such a great dad. He plays with, bathes, dresses, feeds them, and changes their diapers. (I think he changes more diapers then I do. Thank you sweetie I really love that you do this) He takes good care of us even when he doesn't think he is. The boys always greet him when he gets home from work. He does everything I ask of him and every so often he does things without being asked. I know the boys love him and he truly is the love of my life, my soul mate,my best friend. I love you sweetheart! Number Four: This would be the most important Father in my life that is why I saved him for last. My Heavenly Father. He did give me life. Sometimes I don't show Him how much He means to me. I really do love Him with all my heart. I don't have the words to express how I really feel. Everything I have is because of Him! I am who I am because of Him. I want everyone to know that I love Him and I am very thankful for all he does for me! As Father's Day 2011 comes to an end I just want to say how grateful I am to know so many wonderful fathers. I can't name them all ,but I hope you know who you are. Thank you!

Things Children Say

Today we picked up some boys clothes and a bike from a friend in our ward. Timothy wanted to ride it when we got back home. I told him he needs to learn how to ride it. I also said he might need training wheels. Once he decides he wants something he only thinks about that. All afternoon he kept talking about going to the store to get some. We told him we didn't have money to get them right now. As I put him to bed he said his prayer. He thanked Heavenly Father for the bike we picked up for him. Then he asked to have a good nights rest so that tomorrow we can get some money and go to the store to get some training wheels. I wonder how many times I will be telling him he has to wait until we can get those wheels for him? He said his prayer all by himself. I love that he is now realizing that he can ask for things from Heavenly Father.

Things Children Do

Today Sam picked out what he wanted to wear. Later he got wet from eating his peaches so he changed to coveralls and his shoes and socks (no shirt). Then he added a shirt 3 sizes too big over the coveralls. Now he took off everything down to his diaper and is sitting on the couch with a blanket on his legs singing some song. I think this may be the beginning of a new phase in his life! Love that silly boy!

First Post

Here we go into the world of blogging. I have been thinking about this for some time now. My life is always in motion and my children are always entertaining ( even in tantrum mode). My friend is helping me with my step into the cyber world. She was helping me choose a name and she used a thesaurus to find just the right name. We started laughing so hard my eyes watered and she got dizzy! We thought about posse, rat pack, guild, mob, assemblage, clump, nuggets (all after our name of course). I liked INC spelled with a K and we finally landed on hodgepodge, because it sounds just a wee bit pretentious. Just typing this much has made us laugh even more (could be the late hour and we should think about going to bed) but there is something about the sweet freedom that comes from a little time off from being a mom. Well I think I will call it good for now and tell more another time. (Thanks Shannon for your help and the good laugh I really needed it).
